In this moc (my own creation) I made a rounded tower. It takes many pieces to build circular towers, but the result is almost always extremely interesting. Also, another great technique for building castle walls is the antidote for the big grey wall syndrome. The antidote is using color to make LEGO towers much more interesting. Another technique used in this moc is terracing, see the world isn't quite flat, lot's of hills, valleys, and mountains, so I decided to make a small rise in the ground. All these techniques I explained are great and I think they should be used more often in mocs.
This blog is about finding LEGO Castle related stuff, and sharing it with you.

What Makes a LEGO Castle Good?
There are many things that cause the difference between good castles and bad castles. Good castles have many techniques used, some techniques are Micro scale, brick-built rocks, invisible bricks, terracing, and many, many many more. A good castle usually uses about two or three techniques on average, but castles can include as many as you feel are needed. Also, a good castle needs detail, consider adding one of the following, drawbridge, village, farm, animals, blacksmith, vegetation, or rocks. Castles come in both big and small, so even if you have few LEGOs you still can build a castle. The castle in the picture I built using three different techniques, Micro scale, brick-built rocks, and vegetation.

My LEGO Castle
My LEGO castle is right now under construction, it was a remodeled King's Castle Siege, with the Drawbridge Defense in the place where the entry gate was. Now, the castle has gotten at least twice as big over the years. I have also been able to make many, many, many more castles than just one. I have most of the new Kingdoms, and even some old castle sets, and quite a few remodeled sets. My castle is not like the picture, the picture is just one of my first castle sets ever. The picture above is King's Castle Siege. I suppose you don't want to hear me talk about my castles but what you can do to make yours even better!
